NCS has an opening for a full-time or part-time position at the geotechnical staff level. Staff level candidates must have a geotechnical, geological engineering or geology background with 0 to 3 years of experience. BS degree minimum. Position responsibilities include: coordination with drillers, permitting agencies, blue-staking, etc.; logging of geotechnical borings; preparing boring logs from field data; coordinating with laboratory sub consultants; preparing subsurface profiles from boring logs; assisting in development of calculations for designs; aiding in preparation of reports; and providing construction support as necessary. Other conditions of employment include: providing own transportation for local assignments and being available for out of town assignments when necessary.
