Ed Nowatzki - 2007 Southern Arizona Engineer of the Year

Ed Nowatzki of NCS receiving the 2007 Southern Arizona Engineer of the Year Award. The award was presented by the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers, Southern Chapter at the  Engineers Week 2007 Banquet held on February 20, 2007. It is awarded each year to a person who has contributed significantly to the field of engineering in Arizona. <strong><a href='/photos/index.php?a=edengofyear'>Click here for more photos in this album.</a></strong> Ed Nowatzki, PE, PhD is the recipient of a very prestigious award, the 2007 Southern Arizona Engineer of the Year Award. The award was presented by the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers, Southern Chapter at the Engineer's Week 2007 Banquet held on February 20, 2007. It is awarded each year to a person who has contributed significantly to the field of engineering in Arizona. The selection criteria includes:

  1. Outstanding and/or unusual contributions to the engineering profession
  2. Professional integrity, character and reputation
  3. Technical knowledge and quality of work
  4. Professional attitude and behavior
  5. Community service
  6. Recommendations and endorsement from employer, peers, regulating agencies or others in the engineering community.

2006 ACEC Grand Award for SR 264: Second Mesa

NCS was a member of the AZTEC Engineering Team that received the 2006 ACEC Grand Award for the SR 264 Second Mesa Project. <strong><a href='/photos/index.php?a=sr264'>Click here for more photos in this album.</a></strong> NCS along with AZTEC Engineering, Inc. and the rest of the SR264: Second Mesa project team was presented with the 2006 ACEC Grand Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona. The award was presented at ACEC's 26th annual awards presentation at the Phoenix Country Club on October 14, 2006. Naresh Samtani represented NCS at the event. 2006 Marvin M. Black Award

NCS was awarded the 2005 Marvin M. Black, Excellence in Partnering Award by the Associated General Contractors of America for our work on the Veterans Memorial Overpass Improvement Project. <strong><a href='/photos/index.php?a=vmo'>Click here for more photos in this album.</a></strong> NCS is pleased to have been among those awarded the 2006 Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award by the Associated General Contractors of America for our work on the Veterans Memorial Overpass Improvement Project. Alumni Achievement Award and Centennial Professor Award

NCS is proud to report that two of our staff received special awards at this event.

This award was presented to only four recipients and is intended to honor U of A civil engineering graduates for their personal contribution toward engineering achievement, leadership, and service to the profession, society, and the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at the University of Arizona.

This prestigious award is intended to acknowledge the professional accomplishments of faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics while they served at the University of Arizona and to recognize their contributions to the department, its students, and the profession.

Certificate of Appreciation - Veterans Memorial Overpass

Naresh Samtani and Ed Nowatzki of NCS receiving a Certificate of Appreciation for work on the Veteran's Memorial Overpass (VMO) project from Ramon Valadez of the Pima County Board of Supervisors. <strong><a href='/photos/index.php?a=vmo'>Click here for more photos in this album.</a></strong> On Saturday, November 12, 2005, the new Veterans Memorial Overpass was dedicated in a ceremony appropriately set for the day after Veteran's Day. At this ceremony, NCS was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Ramon Valadez of the Pima County Board of Supervisors (District 2).
